How to prepare for your check-up
Your check-up includes a blood test, so what to eat and drink depends on when your appointment is.
Morning appointment
- 1Normal dinnerEat a normal dinner the evening before.
- 2Arrive fastingNo food in the morning before your check-up.
- 3Water is fineWater and unsweetened drinks are fine.
Afternoon appointment
- 1Light, early breakfastHave a light breakfast at least 8 hours before your appointment.
- 2Drink freelyWater and unsweetened drinks are freely allowed.
- 3Take it easyAvoid strenuous exercise the morning of your check-up.
Premium check-up
- 1Bring a urine sampleCollect a urine sample and bring it with you to your first visit.
- 2Ultrasound: no food for 3 hoursFor your second visit, don't eat for at least 3 hours before the scan.
- 3Don't empty your bladderTry not to go to the toilet just before your scan.
