Why GPs refer to Curitt

Less waiting for your patient.Less admin for you.

A doctor-led clinic for IV iron, with appointments often within days and reimbursement handled for your patient.

What your patient pays

Reimbursed, with nothing extra from us.

We don’t have insurer contracts, so we waive whatever the insurer doesn’t cover. Your patient’s own cost is only their remaining deductible.

When you send recent blood results, your patient only comes in for the infusion itself.

How referral works

From referral to infusion, in four steps.

No new systems to learn: you refer the way you already do, and we handle the rest.

  1. 01

    Refer through ZorgDomein

Send the referral with recent blood results confirming iron deficiency.

  2. 02

    We contact your patient

Our team calls or messages them to plan an appointment in Amsterdam or Utrecht.

  3. 03

    Doctor review and dose

One of our doctors reviews the results and calculates the iron dose.

  4. 04

    The infusion

In-clinic, monitored throughout. The appointment takes 45–60 minutes.

BillingYour patient receives an invoice from Infomedics to submit to their insurer, and Curitt waives any difference. VGZ and ONVZ are billed directly.

Questions from GPs

Everything you need to know about referring a patient.

Which blood results do you need with the referral?

Recent results confirming iron deficiency or iron-deficiency anaemia, such as haemoglobin and ferritin. Referrals without blood results can’t be accepted.

How quickly will my patient be seen?

We contact your patient once we receive the referral. Same- or next-day appointments are often available.

What does my patient pay?

Curitt has no contracts with health insurers. Your patient receives an invoice from Infomedics, submits it to their insurer and pays Infomedics what the insurer reimburses. Curitt waives the difference; only their deductible (eigen risico) applies. VGZ and ONVZ are billed directly.

Which product do you use?

Ferinject (ferric carboxymaltose), up to 1,000 mg per infusion. If iron levels are still too low afterwards, we schedule a follow-up infusion after 3 months.

Can my patient book without a referral?

Yes. Without a referral, your patient can book directly and pays for the treatment themselves.

Where are your clinics?

Amsterdam (Bilderdijkstraat 77) and Utrecht. Your patient chooses the clinic that suits them when we call.

Who can I contact with a question?

Our team answers in English and Dutch, seven days a week. Message us with the button on this page, or email info@curitt.health.
